Gone Girl

I could eat this movie up! I have seen this deliciously interesting movie and it pumped me full with disgust, hate and pity. It marked an evolutionary moment for me  because I experienced a shift in perspective – who really is the boss, Men or Women?

The possibility that a woman would be capable of such diabolism is plaguing. Think about it guys: women, contrary to what most men choked by their ego would prefer to believe, are truly the CEO's in any marriage; a holy matrimony between a man and a woman, mostly. That is to say that a man’s wife can practically and more than possibly become his fierce and worse enemy if she chooses. One has to just push the wrong button and just like that, you are toast! With the right motivation and a few visits to the library to inquire for books on how to fake death, it is almost too easy. Who writes those things anyway? It is literally a book on how to defraud the society on a subject as relevant to its system as death.

Amazing Amy graduated from framing her boyfriends of rape to framing her husband of murder, which is a remarkable improvement if you ask me. In fact, what is more fascinating to me is the level of artistic precision she displayed and did so well to elude even the high esteemed FBI agents. And all this wisdom drawn from a book; pages containing words. Truly, there is ominous power in not just what men say but also in what men write.

I am going to take a step back to let you in on the magic. Gone Girl is about a writer, a beautiful female writer, who succeeded in building a radiant reputation for herself and her career based on her life. She did so through a book she started writing as a child in which she was the star character. Now, that would not be half as interesting as the fact that whatever she writes in the book always ends up manifesting in reality, either naturally or by pulling certain odd strings to make sure they do. Her name is Amy and as you would have rightly guessed, the name of the book is Amazing Amy. She ends up meeting a certain Nick Dunne who soon became her husband and was soon to become her victim... I really hate to stop there but at this point I have done more harm than good.

Gone Girl, truly, is art in motion. An exciting dangerously romantic tale of the unfortunate. Every eye is deserving of seeing this work and is expected to appreciate it’s saturation of beautiful helplessness. As if the concluding twist was not grand enough, it went on to ask questions “what are you thinking? How are you feeling? What have we done to each other? What will we do?” answers to which I am sure you will love to share.
So… i'll need you folks to watch this movie if you haven’t. Watch it, experience it and share it on Scene Bug. See ya!!
